FAQ

Q. Do you take commissions?
A. I do! You can find out whether I'm open or not by checking my profile page.

Q. Do you take art commissions?
A. No, I don't. I'm flattered that people have asked, but I don't think my art is anywhere near good enough to accept money for it. I draw for myself, and I only rarely get the inspiration/drive to do it.

Q. Do you do trades?
A. I love doing trades, but I don't often have time for them and if I'm being entirely honest, I'm picky as to who I trade with. I'm more likely to trade with someone I've watched for a while. If you are interested, send me a note. Just please don't be offended if I say no.

Q. What fabric do you use?
A. I use minky fabric, and sometimes suedecloth for accessories.

Q. Where do you get your fabric?
A. Unfortunately my area doesn't have very many good fabric stores, so I get it online from a variety of websites. The ones I shop at most are these:
theminkyboutique.com/cart/
www.plushaddict.co.uk/
fabric.com/

Q. Can I reserve a commission slot/do you have a waiting list?
A. No. If I let one person reserve a spot, I'll have to do it for everyone. I don't currently have a waiting list because I like to take breaks inbetween commissions to work on personal projects. If I have a constant list of people waiting, it can get quite overwhelming.

Q. How do you make your plush eyes?
A. I have a Brother Innov-is 1250D embroidery machine, and I have just started using Embird Studio digitizing software.

Q. How much is _______?
A. I don't give out prices via comments, so if you ever want to know how much a plush would cost, just send me a note.

Q. Can I have/buy one of your patterns?
A. No. I've worked really hard on my patterns, so please don't ask. I am planning on doing a few free tutorials in future though.

Q. Can I draw your OCs?
A. Absolutely! Just be sure to credit me and send me a link - I'd love to see it :aww:

About Me

Hi there! My name is Jaelithe, but most people call me Jae or Sugar. I'm currently studying to become a Library Technician, and live in Australia.

I've been sewing since I was a kid, but only just started taking it seriously about three years ago, and I hope to make sewing my primary job.

I adore Pokemon, My Little Pony, 50s/Rockabilly clothing and hair, sewing, Disney and various other things.

Feel free to say hi if you want a chat and I hope you all like my work!

Jae.

Since I get asked a lot, I'm (very slowly) writing up a bit of a beginner's plush making guide. So far the things I'll be covering are supplies, fabrics, stitch types, embroidery, and basic pattern making. Are there any other topics I should add?

Pretty much just keep going as you are. Practice lots, and push yourself to increase your skills. Also, to get more of a following it helps if you submit your plush to popular groups on dA which will give your work more exposure. You can also start up on social media (tumblr, facebook etc.) which will get your stuff out there even more :)

You're Australian! Awesome! I am going to join their Navy when my time in the US Navy is over. I loved my time in Brisbane that much.
