SECOND EDIT: I'd forgotten the butterfly's antennae - whoops!
EDIT: Updated the photo to a slightly better one.
Phew, it's done! This is actually my second attempt at this - my first didn't turn out how I wanted.
Pictures just don't do it justice! You can't really tell, but all the fabrics I used have a pattern or mottled effect of some sort, and the yellow for Fluttershy's body has a slight shimmer to it - it's really pretty in person.
The eye is machine embroidered, and the whole thing is sewn by hand. I'm not too confident with my satin stitch abilities, and I have no idea how to set up applique stitching on a machine, so I went traditional.
All in all, I really enjoyed my first go at quilting, though it did remind me that living in Australia is pretty crappy for crafters most of the time. I needed freezer paper to help with this, and do you think any grocery stores sell it over here? No, I had to buy it from Spotlight for $1.50 a metre. Damn you Americans, having crafty things readily available in your country
Anyway, this was made for 's pony charity quilt. More info here: fav.me/d6i502s
